A look back | The Crowe Family’s first Family Photoshoot

Every photographer has early work that makes them wince just a little—and while this isn't the one that makes me cringe the most, it definitely takes me back to a different version of me.
A newer photographer, still finding my rhythm, still learning how to see light, movement, and connection.
But here’s what makes this session special: the Crowe family trusted me right from the start. And not just once—they’ve come back every single year since for their updated family photoshoot. That kind of loyalty is rare, and I don’t take it for granted.
Getting to watch their kids grow up—and see how their dynamics shift each year—is one of my greatest honors. Back during this session, the kids were still in the cuddly, giggly, shenanigans stage. These days… let’s just say preteens aren’t always quite as into that (😄).
Yes, my work has come a long way since then. But I’m so glad I have this to look back on. It’s a reminder of where I started, how far I’ve come, and how deep these connections really go.
Crowe family—thank you. For trusting me in the beginning, for growing with me, and for letting me keep documenting your story. I’m so grateful for you.
I’ll be sharing their most recent session soon—and I can’t wait for you to see just how much we’ve all grown.
