Golden Hour Beginnings | My First Couples Session

This was my very first official couples session—and I still feel proud of these images.
We met in the wide open fields just before sunset, with golden light stretching across every direction. It felt peaceful, romantic, and exactly the kind of environment I hoped to create as I stepped into this new genre.
As a photographer just starting out, I poured everything I had into this session. The light, the tones, the connection between them—I saw so much beauty when I went through the gallery. And I still do.
Not every session ends with the exact reaction we hope for. That’s part of learning, part of holding space for other people’s perspectives while also staying rooted in your own growth. Their feedback shaped me, yes—but it didn’t diminish what this session meant.
This was a beginning. And beginnings aren’t perfect… but they’re powerful.
