One of the very first family photoshoot I ever photographed happened just down the street from us.
It was a simple, sweet evening with the McCredie family—and like most early sessions, I learned a lot. One thing I didn’t know yet? Transition lenses. I forgot to ask if mom wanted to take her glasses off, and sure enough, they stayed dark the entire session. 😅 Lesson learned—and one I never forget now!
But what stands out most from that evening isn’t the technical hiccup. It’s how playful and open their kids were. They dove right into the little games I had planned, full of curiosity and energy, and we ended up capturing some really tender moments between all the fun.
Looking back now, I see a photographer still finding her way—but I also see heart, connection, and growth. And that’s what matters most to me.
McCredie family, thank you for letting me begin with you.
